Documents, Writing & Blocks

Creating documents
Documents are menus created using the menu editor. Creating them is very easy. All you have to do is access the Documents page from the left sidebar of the dashboard and click the Create document button. The documents page stores all your previous menus and allows you to edit them or create new ones, which you and your team can access. This way, Correctify acts as the single source of truth and a system of record for everything related to your restaurant menus.
Writing & Blocks
At its simplest, Correctify can be used as any word processor for writing down ideas and dishes. But it’s much more powerful than legacy tools like Microsoft Word, as each element inside the editor is a block. You can choose from a large variety of block types like headings, columns, images and more. You can easily add a block by clicking the plus icon (+) on the left sidebar or typing the (/) key inside the editor to open the blocks popover.
Special Menu Blocks
Correctify’s magic lies in the special blocks, built specifically for restaurant menus, namely menu items and collections. Collections are used to group together menu items, just like menu categories. Menu items are a special type of block used to keep every dish organized and tidy. Each menu item consists of the title, the description, the tags, the quantity and the price, none of which are mandatory fields. In the pricing subblock, you can switch between Euros, Dollars and British Pounds.
Renaming Documents
You can rename documents from the top right corner of the menu editor, then click save.
Arranging & Modifying Content
Blocks can be easily duplicated, rearranged or deleted by clicking the drag handle found on the left side of a block when you hover over it. If you want to quickly add a block of the same type, click the plus icon + next to the drag handle.
Any piece of text can be formatted and styled in all sorts of ways via the popover visible when you select it.
